IntelliSense add-ins blocking Power-user on Excel

It can happen on some computers that the following notification appears, stating: "The file format and extension of PowerUser_Excel_UDF.xll don't match".

Excel error l the file format and extension don't match

This error message comes from an issue with 2 minor components that are in charge of showing tooltips in Power-user Excel formulas ("Intellisense")

As a solution, these 2 components can just be deactivated since they play a very minor role in your experience with Power-user.

To deactivate Intellisense, click the green "Settings" cog at the very left of your Power-user tab in Excel:

Power-user Excel tab l Settings

Then, uncheck "Load intellisense to show tooltips in Advanced Functions", and save your changes.

Alternatively, if the Power-user ribbon is not visible, go to File\Options\Add-ins, and click the "Go" button at the bottom.

The dialog below will appear, where you can uncheck 'Poweruser_Excel_Udf_Intellisense64" and "Poweruser_Excel_Udf64". Click "OK" to validate.
